Position Overview

The role of the Business Banking Relationship Manager is crucial in fostering and expanding business credit and deposit connections.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establishes and nurtures business credit and deposit partnerships.
  2. Focuses on new business acquisition through various referral channels and proactive outreach.
  3. Develops and sustains a diverse portfolio by understanding and addressing clients' business and personal requirements.
  4. Enhances market presence by cultivating new client relationships and leveraging the Bank's financial offerings to provide an optimal banking experience.
  5. Facilitates loan structuring negotiations and effectively promotes additional products.
  6. Builds and sustains a robust professional network of centers of influence and referral partners.
  7. Maintains a steady pipeline of potential clients through a consistent outreach strategy as guided by management.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel approximately 25% within the designated region and across the BankFinancial network as necessary, with up to 10% of travel outside the state.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial or Business Lending.
  • At least 2 years of experience in outbound sales efforts.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and portfolio management.
  • Strong skills in pipeline management and effective communication.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain high-level business relationships with key decision-makers to generate new and renewal business.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities with a proactive approach to managing and prioritizing tasks.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Required certifications and licenses as mandated by the SVP of Business Banking.
  • Current compliance with ongoing education requirements.
  • Notary Public certification is preferred.

Technical Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with teller and banking platform systems.
