Job Description:
The Front Office Manager plays a critical role in the seamless movement of guests in and out of the resort, ensuring outstanding levels of guest service throughout their stay. This includes acting as a Manager on Duty occasionally, responding to emergency calls promptly, and maintaining a firm commitment to the service culture.
Responsibilities include supervising Front Office Operations, including the front desk, bell, and valet, ensuring timely completion of team member work schedules and performance appraisals, and maintaining compliance with organizational, business, and financial regulations. Additionally, the Front Office Manager coordinates communication of activities with other departments to achieve optimal levels of revenues while maintaining high levels of guest expectations.
This position also involves monitoring guest survey scores, requests, and complaints, collaborating with partners to resolve issues, and maintaining a firm understanding of the established Collective Bargaining Agreement as it relates to supervision and performance. Furthermore, the Front Office Manager maintains relationships, contracts, compliance, and interfaces issues with business supporters and suppliers to ensure business needs and financial responsibilities are handled promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- More than 2 years of managerial experience in a hotel, preferably in a Front office capacity
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate, develop, and engage staff
- Effective interpersonal skills, including prioritization, task management, and conflict resolution
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to build productive working relationships
