Job Overview

Flat Rate Funding Group is experiencing growth and is seeking a professional, articulate, and approachable Customer Account Manager. Our organization specializes in invoice factoring services tailored for the freight sector. We are in search of a qualified individual to contribute to our ongoing success.

The Customer Account Manager will be responsible for managing multiple client accounts, ensuring outstanding customer service, and assisting with the onboarding process for new clients through underwriting. This role will also provide support to our finance and accounting teams with various tasks and projects as required. The position operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with documentation, invoicing, payment, and collection inquiries.
  • Educate clients on utilizing the factoring portal effectively.
  • Address requests from freight brokerages regarding documentation from clients.
  • Supervise the processing and collections team to ensure accuracy in factoring software and monitor collection activities.
  • Conduct verification, processing, and collection tasks as necessary.
  • Perform credit assessments on potential clients as required.
  • Record customer check payments in the factoring software and utilize check scanning equipment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage schedules, document interactions, and follow up on various requests and projects professionally.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in managing financial and numerical data.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Positive demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiar with office equipment.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles.
