Job Overview

Flat Rate Funding Group is expanding and seeking a professional, articulate, and approachable Customer Service / Account Manager. We specialize in invoice factoring for the transportation sector and are looking for a dedicated individual to contribute to our ongoing success.

The Customer Service / Account Manager will be responsible for managing multiple client accounts, ensuring outstanding customer service, and assisting with the onboarding of new clients through the underwriting process. This role will also provide support to our finance and accounting teams with various tasks and projects as required. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with documentation, invoicing, payment, and collection inquiries.
  • Educate clients on utilizing the factoring portal effectively.
  • Address requests from freight brokerages requiring information from clients.
  • Supervise the processing and collections team to ensure accuracy in our factoring software and oversee collection activities.
  • Conduct verification, processing, and collection tasks as necessary.
  • Perform credit assessments on potential clients as needed.
  • Record customer check payments in the factoring software and manage check scanning.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage schedules, document interactions, and follow up on requests and projects professionally.
  • Able to maintain accurate records and juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in handling financial and numerical data.
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative to meet departmental objectives.
  • Positive demeanor and ability to collaborate with various departments and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and adept with office equipment.
  • Preferred: 2 years of experience in customer-facing roles.
