Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage a team of medical assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care.
- Develop and implement effective scheduling and workflow processes to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to medical assistants to improve their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with the practice manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and education to medical assistants on new procedures, policies, and technologies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including staff performance evaluations and patient care data.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices.
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a medical assistant, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Nationally recognized certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Experience with Athenahealth practice management system.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
- IV certification.
