Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at OnPoint Medical Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with examination and treatment of patients, performing tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical records.
  • Conduct pre-visit planning, including verifying patient information, preparing exam rooms, and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including allergies, medications, and social history.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling patient correspondence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited healthcare program (e.g., Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required; nationally recognized certifications (e.g., CMA) a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with EMR systems; Athenahealth practice management system experience a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics; some MA experience required.
