Job Summary

Aurora Denver Cardiology Associates is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and canceling patient appointments
  • Checking-in and checking-out patients
  • Entering charges and payments
  • Answering the telephone
  • Verifying patient insurance and demographics
  • Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances

You will also perform selected administrative duties and assist nursing staff, including collecting patient specimens, taking patient histories and vital signs, preparing exam and treatment rooms, and giving injections and applying casts, splints, and dressings as applicable.

Requirements
  • One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
  • Medical Assistant Certification - required
  • Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is acceptable
