Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at University Village in Seattle. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of related culinary experience, with 6 months of supervisory or management experience leading a back-of-house team. A strong understanding of kitchen management, profit and loss, and ability to lead and think critically are essential for success in this role.

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and coordinating BOH operations
  • Ensuring a culture of positivity and accountability
  • Acting as Manager on Duty in absence of Executive Chef and Sous Chef
  • Validating completion of opening/closing duties

Competitive Salary and Benefits

$72,000 - $77,000 per year + 10% bonus potential. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance options, life insurance, employee assistance program, vacation time, 401(k), and employee discounts.
