We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Manager to join our team at Waste Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of our landfill laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all laboratory personnel, data, and quality control.
- Implement waste analysis plans and RCRA regulations as it pertains to analysis and testing.
- Review special waste to determine acceptability for hazardous waste disposal.
- Perform routine laboratory functions as assigned.
- Facilitate the receipt of materials for treatment and disposal in compliance with WM policies and procedures, including state and federal guidelines.
- Apply appropriate treatment and disposal methodologies to be utilized at the facility for the specific waste.
- Ensure that the health and safety of employees and the environment is maximized.
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Seven years of relevant work experience.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Knowledge of RCRA and TSCA regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
