Laboratory Quality Manager

JRAD is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Quality Manager to join our team in Washington, DC.
Job Summary:The Laboratory Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO 17025 standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze laboratory data and reports to ensure compliance with QMS requirements
- Provide quality review and authorization of material selection, usage, and qualification
- Ensure in-control performance of laboratory analysis, including statistical review of laboratory areas
- Coordinate participation in external accreditation and proficiency test programs
- Lead contractors during quality and procedure review meetings
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances to management
- Prepare and maintain documentation and training/certification records
- Develop experimental design and requirements documentation for new laboratory tests and methods
- Evaluate test plan results and provide statement regarding fit for intended use
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science related field
- 3-5 years of recent related laboratory work experience in a certified public health or environmental laboratory
- 2 years of demonstrated quality management, leadership, and decision-making experience
- Extensive knowledge of quality management systems and quality improvement tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of computer and analytical software programs
- Strong understanding of the principles, practices, and techniques of the various analytical areas of the laboratory
