Apex Systems is seeking a Site Construction Supervisor

Compensation: $55-$60/hr

Contract Duration: 1 year+

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Engineering, Construction Management, or a professional background in construction, particularly within Industrial or energy sectors. A focus on solar energy construction, electrical systems, and utility projects is highly desirable.

Role Overview:

  • Serve as the Owner's representative to manage all facets of facility and plant construction, including interconnections, site preparation, owner-supplied materials, safety protocols, startup processes, and project completion. This role entails comprehensive oversight of the team and assigned projects to ensure adherence to budgetary, scheduling, and safety objectives. The individual will coordinate and supervise construction activities performed by contractors and vendors at the project site, managing engineering, procurement, and construction oversight activities necessary for successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project operations comply with corporate safety and quality standards throughout all site activities.
  • Collaborate with resources and subcontractors across various disciplines to establish project priorities, schedules, and work plans to meet milestones.
  • Work alongside the site team to maintain cleanliness and enforce safety protocols.
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations as the primary manager and administrator.
  • Manage onsite staff, including inspectors.
  • Provide regular progress reports to upper management, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates on project indicators and recovery plans.
  • Guarantee that projects are executed efficiently, effectively, and safely, in accordance with departmental procedures, local regulations, contracts, and policies.
  • Assess constructability, ensure proper resource allocation, evaluate field conditions, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Lead project meetings to review budgets, schedules, quality metrics, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
  • Engage with designated management committees or third parties, acting as the primary company representative for project activities.
  • Ensure compliance with SWPPP and stormwater regulations and procedures.
  • Manage execution requirements outlined in relevant agreements to achieve operational milestones.
  • Conduct walk-downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work against design specifications, and approve contractor payment requests.
  • Ensure that project schedules are adhered to throughout the construction lifecycle until project closeout.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities related to safety programs, engineering, construction, budgeting, and contract administration.
  • Oversee commissioning activities to align with corporate objectives, with limited project management, scheduling, and estimating resources.
  • Willingness to travel between project sites as necessary.
  • Expected to be present onsite daily while construction activities are ongoing.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
