We are seeking a highly skilled Family Resource Worker to join our Foster Care and Family Services Division at the Kennedy-Donovan Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being of children and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and support foster families, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children.
  • Assess new foster parent applicants, conducting thorough evaluations to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of foster families, ensuring compliance with licensing and funding requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for foster parents, focusing on topics such as child development, trauma-informed care, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Collaborate with social workers and supervisors to ensure seamless communication and support for foster families.
  • Provide emergency beeper coverage services during non-office hours, responding promptly to emergencies as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field (psychology, human services) required.
  • LSW or LSWA licensure required within 6 months of hire.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn EOHHS Virtual Gateway iFamily Net system.
  • Experience in public relations/outreach and training preferred.
  • Bilingual Portuguese and/or Spanish speaking preferred.
