Family Partner Job Description

Child & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Partner to join our Mobile Crisis Program in New Bedford, MA. As a Family Partner, you will use your lived experience to provide support to youth and their support systems during their involvement in our services.

Available Schedule:

Full-Time Monday - Friday 8AM-4PM, 9AM-5PM OR 10AM-6PM

Language Differential:

$1 per hour for eligible languages, including Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, or ASL

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Provide support to youth and families during their involvement in our services
  2. Document your experience in working as a primary caretaker of a child with serious emotional disturbance
  3. Have knowledge of child and family-focused community resources in the community
  4. Exhibit competence in working in partnership with youth, parents, and other caregivers of youth with mental health needs
  5. Consult with the Master's level Clinician you are working with on a regular basis to assure continuity of information given to youth, families, and caregivers
  6. Participate in regularly scheduled supervision, staff meetings, staff development, and training curriculum
Additional Duties:
  • Triage clients requesting assistance via phone or in person
  • Use a wand metal detector during in person triage
  • Take inventory and store client personal items
  • Identify available beds for clients who meet the criteria for a higher level of care and fax/follow up on required paperwork needed for admission
  • Monitor clients being served and boarded onsite via room check and/or security cameras
  • Scan documents into electronic health records
