Key Responsibilities -

A Data Center Critical Environment is essential for business operations, where failures can lead to significant consequences.

Your role will involve operating, inspecting, and maintaining all HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment in an energy-efficient and safe manner, minimizing downtime through proactive repairs and thorough record-keeping. Regular inspections and repairs of both interior and exterior property elements, including walls, flooring, fixtures, and lighting, will be part of your duties. A strong emphasis will be placed on troubleshooting and repairing facility equipment across various systems. Candidates should demonstrate technical proficiency in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations, Material Handling Equipment) while being versatile in others to effectively manage daily tasks.

Your Daily Activities Include:

Maintenance
  • Adhering to critical environment protocols and MOP processes.
  • Executing ongoing preventive and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems.
  • Expertly maintaining, operating, and repairing HVAC systems, CRAC units, electrical distribution, plumbing systems, and building repairs.
  • Familiarizing yourself with critical environments and the necessary equipment for daily operations, including building automation and fire/life safety systems.
  • Conducting facility inspections and due diligence to report on conditions affecting client satisfaction and operations.
Safety
  • Performing Hazard Assessments as needed.
  • Following all safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness in work areas, identifying and mitigating hazards.
  • Ensuring compliance with local ordinances, codes, and laws.
  • Completing all required safety training as scheduled.
Administrative Tasks
  • Daily submission of P-card receipts.
  • Real-time updates of work order statuses.
  • Utilizing CMMS systems like Corrigo for all tasks performed.
  • Conducting Vehicle Safety Inspections.
  • Timely escalation of issues to management and clients.
  • Participating in work and safety meetings as required.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Working at heights.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, and overhead work.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Driving for extended periods.
  • Climbing ladders with weight limits while carrying tools.
  • Must be available for on-call work and additional duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required

Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in Data Centers/Raised Floor Environments.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Universal EPA 608 Certification (or to be obtained within 90 days of employment).
  • Experience with CRAC (Liebert) maintenance and repair.
  • Licenses as required by local authorities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Completion of trades school or documented apprenticeship in relevant craft skills.
