Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. This includes setting up and maintaining machinery, repairing and maintaining parts of equipment and machines, and ensuring timely repair of facility, equipment, and machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Oversee building and manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Engage in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Track workstation and personnel supplied tools, ensuring accurate inventory management.
- Perform preventative maintenance schedules, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance, providing timely and effective support.
- Diagnose and solve repair issues, utilizing troubleshooting techniques and expertise.
- Communicate plans for upper-level improvements to maintenance personnel, ensuring seamless implementation.
- Direct additional repairmen and subcontractors as needed, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
- Submit repair logs and reports on daily activities through E-Maintenance, providing accurate and timely documentation.
- Aid in the development of safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Research parts needed, generating parts requests to ensure adequate inventory, and informing the team on inventory levels.
- Reach out to external sources for quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal value.
- Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Good math, language, reading skills, and good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Knowledge of warehouse arrangement and functionality, as well as engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems with an emphasis on pneumatic systems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exposure to moving equipment, heat, humidity, and noise.
- Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, and lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 60 pounds).
- Occasional typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice-assisted as needed.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 2 years Maintenance experience.
- Forklift certification per OSHA standards.
