PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operates advanced machinery including telescopic booms, Mi-Jack shuttle lifts, and overhead cranes.
  • Calculates load limits, assessing the weight of items to be lifted in relation to the crane's maximum capacity as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Examines clearances, overhead cables, and other potential hazards to prevent accidents or damage to personnel, structures, loads, or machinery.
  • Evaluates ground conditions to ensure safe crane setup.
  • Conducts inspections of cranes for defects and wear before operation; performs necessary maintenance or repairs.
  • Adheres to all relevant federal, state, and corporate safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Keeps detailed logs and records of operational activities.
  • Undertakes additional related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Regularly required to sit and utilize hands and fingers.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical components and vehicles.
  • The noise level in the workplace is typically moderate.
  • Employees must be equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
  • This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, with exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.
