Job Description

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Engineer Sr to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our software development processes and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate software processes and products to ensure conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes.
  • Develop, monitor, measure, and analyze software metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality improvements.
  • Present software quality assessments to customers and program management.
  • Track and manage nonconformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities.
Requirements:
  • Current US Citizenship.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • STEM Undergrad degree (Biology, Engineering, Nursing, Computer Science, or other related field).
  • Knowledge of quality systems/processes and expertise in external quality standards.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle models.
  • Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements.
  • Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of AS9100D and CMMI requirements.
Desired Skills:
  • Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of configuration management and control tools.
  • Technical experience in a related discipline (e.g., Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Integration & Test).
  • Experience in supporting Agile/Scrum software development.
  • Experience with ClearQuest, DOORS, VersionOne (Agility), and/or other Configuration Management tools.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Experience with code collaborator tools.
  • Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement.
  • Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green belt.
  • ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE).
