Position: Software Safety / Quality Engineer
Company: OASYS, INC., a prominent Government contractor, is currently looking for qualified candidates for multiple openings in the Software Safety / Quality Engineer role to support our military clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough scans on designated code bases and generate detailed reports on the findings.
- Develop and implement Software Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, ensuring documentation aligns with military processes and standards.
- Establish a comprehensive system and software quality program in accordance with Army Quality Standard Operating Procedures and relevant quality methodologies, referencing ISO standards.
- Prepare and submit change requests for quality processes, executing approved changes in collaboration with the Process Configuration Control Board (PCCB) or the Quality Assurance Division Chief.
- Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of quality processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in software development or software quality assurance.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Proficient understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Experience in developing and/or debugging embedded software.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and/or DO-178 standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in embedded software development or software quality assurance.
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as STEM, computer science, or computer engineering is required.
Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance, which is highly preferred.
