About the Role

The Senior Relationship Manager is a seasoned professional role that requires in-depth disciplinary knowledge and expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role contributes to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. They will be responsible for evaluating moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with client network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely completion of Know Your Client (KYC) and other regulatory requirements, in partnership with product partners and Relationship Managers (RM)s.
  • Client Onboarding and Support: Work with RMs and product partners to on-board new clients/new subsidiaries and KYC/initial credit set-ups completed.
  • Credit Coordination: Coordinate credit requests and approvals from Citigroup's global network.
  • Revenue Growth: Engage with product partners and Citigroup's global network to identify revenue opportunities and to position certain products with clients.
  • Client Support and Maintenance: Ensure periodic support discussions are held with clients and are correctly documented.
  • Client Data Management: Maintain correct client legal and marketing hierarchies.
  • Partnership with Credit Admin Team: Partner with Credit Admin team to ensure credit documentation is kept current: FX, derivatives, Loans, LCs and other credit-related documents.
  • Credit Line Monitoring: Partner with Credit Admin team to monitor usage of credit lines, and partnering with Independent Risk during client Annual Reviews.
  • Implementation of Cash Transactions: Assist in implementation of cash transactions for Banker.
  • Risk Assessment: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5-8 years relevant experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
