Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Relationship Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high net worth clients, providing expert advice on investment strategies, and building strong relationships with clients and their professional advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of clients' needs and goals, providing tailored investment solutions to meet their objectives.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams, including Trust Advisors, Wealth Advisors, and Regional Wealth Advisors, to deliver holistic advice and solutions to clients.
  3. Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to provide expert guidance to clients.
  4. Cultivate relationships with external advisors, including attorneys, accountants, and other professionals, to deepen relationships and provide coordinated client servicing.
  5. Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and procedures, exercising prudent risk management and judgment in all client interactions.
  6. Grow existing business through additions, referrals, and strategic partnerships, with a focus on revenue growth and new business opportunities.
  7. Provide proactive advice to clients on Northern Trust's products and services, emerging issues, and appropriate actions.
  8. Teach and mentor less experienced partners, providing leadership on projects and committees.
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial products and services, typically acquired through related work experience.
  • Knowledge of investments, fiduciary relationships, estate planning, financial planning, capital markets, banking, and operations, usually acquired through formal education or related experience.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Technical skills and systems knowledge.
  • Skills in negotiating, problem-solving, delegating, leadership, and sales.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A College or University degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in asset servicing, relationship management, personal trust, investment management, or related fields.
Compensation

Salary Range: $200,000-$300,000 USD
