Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Service Contract Manager to join our Grid Technologies Service Team at Spencer Ogden. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting North America's transition to FACTS, HVDC, and renewable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Sales Proposals: Create comprehensive sales proposals and cost models for Grid Technologies Service projects, focusing on HVDC Service contracts.
- Proposal Writing: Write original proposal responses and other sales-related documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the global team in Germany to prepare comprehensive bid packages, ensuring seamless execution.
- Technical Validation: Validate and endorse technical aspects of proposed solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Client Management: Act as the primary contact and leader for all aspects of the service agreement, maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Service Coordination: Coordinate planned service activities, including corrective and preventive maintenance for covered systems and equipment.
- Communication: Maintain communication with the client's operations and maintenance manager and handle regulatory compliance reporting.
- Service Agreement Review: Manage service agreement review meetings and address key issues and technical support needs.
- Inventory Management: Oversee spare part inventory, document version control, and site logistics.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the supply chain and new business units to manage warranty claims and share project lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction, engineering, estimating, contract management, or client relations within the Transmission Sector, with experience in FACTS or HVDC Service contracts.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record in managing large service programs and handling contracts valued at $5M or more.
- Travel: Ability to travel as required for site visits.
