Job Summary

New Way Trucks is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Paint Supervisor to oversee the paint, touch-up, and wash bay processes within our facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of painters and wash bay attendants, ensuring quality control, optimizing processes, and maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the painting team to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any personnel issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor paint application processes to ensure uniformity and adherence to guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues as they arise, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Evaluate and improve painting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Implement best practices and new technologies in painting techniques to stay ahead of industry standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Enforce safety protocols within the painting area, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance departments to align painting schedules with production timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of painting tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of paint formulations, application procedures, and equipment maintenance.
  • Prepare reports on painting operations and performance metrics to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Five years of related experience with at least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to plan and implement change effectively, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency with minimal supervision.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Office programs, Payroll, and Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.
