Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will support our physicians and mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care. This role will involve taking and recording patient vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and sterilizing equipment and supplies. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing call management for physicians/providers, preparing patient records for visits, and participating in scheduled team meetings.

Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice per LPN license and in accordance with NYS laws and regulations.
  • Take and record patient's vital signs, prepare exam room and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols.
  • Provide call management for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results and other patient calls per practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient's record for visit, as directed by physician/provider.
  • Participates in scheduled team meetings to discuss /clarify roles, responsibility, processes, and patient issues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Women's Health experience.
  • Previous Medical office experience.
Work Environment
  • Standing: 70%.
  • Sitting: 30%.
  • Reaching: 80%.
  • Bending: 50%.
  • Lifting: must be able to lift 40 lb.
Pay Range Disclosure
  • $24.04 to $32.21 per hour.
