Cayuga Health System is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to our community. We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our primary care team in Internal Medicine.

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse will support our physicians and mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care. This role will also involve assisting with appointment scheduling and other related activities to ensure optimal patient service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical duties in accordance with the scope of practice per LPN license and in accordance with NYS laws and regulations.
  • Take and record patient's vital signs, prepare exam room and sterilize equipment and supplies per protocols.
  • Provide call management for physicians/providers with regard to clinical questions, prescription refills, test results and other patient calls per practice protocols.
  • Prepare patient's record for visit, as directed by physician/provider.
  • Participate in scheduled team meetings to discuss /clarify roles, responsibility, processes, and patient issues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • Current NYS licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Physical Requirements
  • Standing: 70%.
  • Sitting: 30%.
  • Reaching: 80%.
  • Bending: 50%.
  • Lifting: must be able to lift 40 lb.
Location and Travel Requirements
  • Onsite.
Pay Range Disclosure
  • $24.04 to $32.21 per hour.
