Job Title: Environmental Service Attendant

JobsRUs is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Attendant to join our team. As an Environmental Service Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in various commercial, healthcare, educational, and other establishments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain offices, patient/resident rooms, dorms, classrooms, common areas, lavatories, halls, food service areas, and other areas as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish floors, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office space.
  • Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window coverings.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
  • Empty trash and garbage containers, and replenish supplies.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and make minor repairs.
  • Drive a golf cart or other vehicles as needed.
  • Move furniture and set up tables and chairs.
  • Notify supervisors of the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents and injuries promptly.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
  • Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Ability to learn and use established techniques for efficient and compliant completion of duties.
  • Ability to present self in a highly professional manner to others.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well under pressure.
  • Good attention to detail and adequate oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well alone and in a team.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in OSHA and local requirements related to assigned work.
Certifications:
  • Blood Borne Pathogen Training.
