Job Summary:

The Ophthalmic Photographer will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging tests, including visual field testing, IOL Master, OPD, OCT, GDX, refractometry, and other specialized procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ophthalmic anatomy and be able to work effectively with patients, insurance coverage, and medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual field testing, IOL Master, OPD, OCT, GDX, refractometry, and other specialized imaging procedures
  • Work with patients to prepare them for testing and ensure their comfort and safety
  • Manage patient insurance coverage and medical records
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure accurate and effective diagnosis and treatment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Three years of ophthalmic photography experience; COA level competency required
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic and medical terminology
  • Ability to keyboard 40 wpm and use computer software programs
  • Valid California Driver's license required

Licensures and Certifications:
Ophthalmic Photographer's Society Membership preferred.
