At East Los Angeles Doctor Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care by registering patients, obtaining demographic data, and identifying payment sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register patients and obtain demographic data, including contact information and insurance details.
- Identify payment sources and assist patients in collecting payments for services rendered.
- Ensure that patients are aware of their financial responsibility and provide clear explanations of hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with coverage in the PBX/Communications Department as required.
- Follow regulatory agency requirements, including Title 22, EMTALA, and HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of hospital admitting experience preferred.
- BCLS Certification Required.
- AB508 Training Required when working in the Emergency Department.
