About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Expanded Learning Safety and Operations Lead at Bay Area Community Resources. This role is a critical part of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff during the Expanded Learning Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Be physically available at the front desk sign-out table daily during program hours, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment for students and staff.
  • Safety Rounds: Complete daily safety rounds to ensure all gates and doors are secured during transition times, maintaining a secure and safe environment for all.
  • Incident Response: Assist the Program Coordinator with all safety incidents, crises, and drills as they arise, providing support and communication with the district and agency as needed.
  • Sign-in and Sign-out Procedures: Monitor and ensure accurate completion of sign-in and sign-out sheets by staff and parents/families, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with agency and school site protocols.
  • Community Engagement: Serve as a resource to staff, students, and community members by ensuring the front desk is fully stocked and providing a welcoming environment for families and community members.
  • School Site and Student Safety: Ensure the school site and student safety during program hours, maintaining a secure and safe environment for all.
  • Parent and Community Relationships: Engage with parents on a daily basis, building strong relationships with families and community members, and serving as the 'face' of the program and agency.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Oversee and execute emergency response plans, including evacuation, shelter-in-place, lockdown, and medical emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
