Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Construction Project Supervisor, you will manage the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, typically valued at $5M or less. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing the construction workflow from project inception to completion, including estimating, negotiation, contracting, and financial management.
  • Collaborating with Owners, Design Professionals, and stakeholders to ascertain project requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Managing building permits and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting site visits to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to the contracted scope of work.
  • Preparing and managing cost estimates and proposals related to change management.
  • Creating and maintaining critical path project schedules.
  • Implementing strategies for subcontracting or self-performing various project aspects to meet objectives regarding cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders as necessary.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, coupled with a minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • Experience in estimating and managing both subcontracted and self-performed work.
  • A solid understanding of construction methods related to commercial and institutional projects.
  • Preferred experience in government contracting.

Certifications:
Preferred certifications include OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR, and current CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC. Professional credentials such as Associate Constructor (AC), Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), or PE in good standing are also advantageous.
