Job Title: Title Manager

Stellantis Financial Services (SFS) is a leading captive finance company for a prominent automaker and mobility provider. We are seeking a skilled Title Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of enhancing customer experience.

Job Summary: The Title Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient use of company resources and technical capabilities to achieve targeted performance standards while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate activities involved with titling functions, including title follow-up, vehicle title releases, repossession titles, title maintenance, and paper title requests.
  • Coordinate with Dealer Track (FDI) Collateral Management, Custodian Bank, and SFS to resolve post-title issues.
  • Maintain quality control of titling processes according to established policies and procedures.
  • Review title reports regularly to ensure timely and thorough follow-up and recommend additional activity when warranted.
  • QC the work performed by Title Coordinators in various functions.
  • Meet company timelines in processing titles and resolving titling issues or refer to the Department Manager for further action.
  • Assist in ensuring email boxes are kept current.
  • Assist with the retention and destruction of titling documents according to established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring stats are maintained for the various titling processes.
  • Assist inbound callers with escalated title-related issues or questions.
  • Assist all areas with handling more difficult title issues or questions.
  • Assist departments in the Atlanta office with handling more difficult accounts and field title-related questions.
  • Understand and follow state law requirements for title releases and repossessions.
  • Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, copying, and other duties associated with documentation.
  • Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and making recommendations to the manager.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Department Manager as needed with projects, tasks, and follow-up.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three years of lead, supervisor, or management experience preferred.
  • Three to five years of title experience and knowledge of DMV documentation requirements, laws, and regulations for motor vehicle titles is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and possibly involved written or oral instructions.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook required.

Work Environment: The work environment is usually moderate, with occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to focus.
