The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department presents an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Manager of Epic Applications – Security. The Senior Manager oversees all IT-related functions within the University's IT department and manages all personnel assigned to the IT division.
The incumbent guarantees the continuity of computing services for users across the organization through strategic planning, technical guidance, and project management.
Plans, designs, develops, and implements enhanced operational systems by refining work standards, policies, procedures, employee methodologies, and staffing levels.
Engages with leadership to provide insights into the overall enterprise architecture, enabling UMIT to deliver outstanding services to its stakeholders.
Prepares reports on activities and progress concerning group responsibilities.
Identifies potential areas for improvement and formulates strategies to leverage these opportunities.
Develops, documents, and revises guidelines and procedures to enhance efficiency within the unit.
Collaborates directly with faculty, students, and senior administrators to recognize and address emerging technological needs.
Works in partnership with other departments to ensure superior service delivery to the University community.
Communicates pertinent IT-related information to superiors and peers throughout the organization.
Provides oversight of both exempt and non-exempt staff to ensure that operational plans, policies, procedures, and transition strategies align with UMIT goals and objectives.
Promotes heightened awareness and achievement of superior customer service by guiding internal teams in the execution of IT initiatives.
Participates in all programs related to performance management and career development planning.
Establishes and continuously evaluates the effectiveness of internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and assess departmental operations.
Ability to establish departmental goals and objectives that align with the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train team members.
Any suitable combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
