We are seeking a proactive and skilled Field Service Engineer to assist our clients in the installation and commissioning of proton therapy systems. This role involves conducting calibration and testing procedures and ensuring the effective long-term operation of the equipment.
Training Requirement: The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive training program at various locations in the United States for a duration of 9 months to acquire essential operational certifications. Post-training, the role will transition to long-term responsibilities in Suzhou, China.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the installation and testing of proton therapy systems at client sites, including wiring, assembly, safety inspections, and initial equipment startup, while ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct calibration and testing activities, which encompass equipment setup, accelerator operation, documentation of results, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Support customer acceptance testing processes.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues, ensuring equipment readiness to meet client needs.
- Implement product installations and upgrades in accordance with technical specifications and company protocols, while performing preventive maintenance to optimize equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and customer service reports, including but not limited to engineering change orders and upgrades.
- Collaborate with plant support staff and clinical personnel to uphold high customer satisfaction levels.
- Provide insights on system performance and areas for improvement.
- Participate in weekly team meetings and site-specific discussions as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Degree in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Intelligent Medical Instrumentation, or related fields.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is preferred, as effective communication with clients and partners in China is essential.
- Demonstrated practical skills; candidates with hands-on experience are preferred.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and network communication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Thesis related to accelerator systems or subsystems is advantageous.
- Strong English communication skills and a quick learner of new systems and processes.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel extensively; shift work may be required, with adherence to radiation safety standards.
- Exhibit a strong sense of responsibility, execution, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
