Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Impossible Foods is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment and a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, standards, programs, and processes.
  • Coordinate and oversee outside vendors for various services provided for safety compliance and environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Support the manufacturing plant, R&D, and piloting operations in the areas of safety, waste management, recycling, and emergency response.
  • Manage hazardous waste, prepare waste for disposal, track data and manifests, and complete all reports.
  • Ensure site-specific programs to train supervisors, employees, and vendors are continuously updated as needed.
  • Manage regulatory agency and external stakeholder EHS activities, including reporting, visits, or inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years Environmental, Health and Safety experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing EHS practices in a lab and manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent PC skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and technical writing ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Certification or course work in occupational safety and environmental related programs.
  • Experience working with local regulatory agencies.
  • EHS professional membership, registration, and/or certification from an accredited organization.
