You will be responsible for assisting professional staff, delivering direct care to consumers, and ensuring their comfort and safety. As a Nursing Assistant, you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in assistive nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health, and safety practices.
">Responsibilities:

Assist consumers with daily living activities, such as transfers, eating, drinking, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking, or exercising.
">">Apply durable medical equipment, such as slings, stockings, or support bandages, under the direction of a nurse or physician.
">">Review consumer dining plans to ensure the appropriate consistency/diet is served at all meals.
">">Ensure consumers take nutritional supplements and measure food and liquid intake/output reports changes to medical or nursing staff.
">">Record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate, as directed by medical or nursing staff.
">">Clean and sanitize consumers' rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, change bed linens, and restock personal hygiene items.
">">Stay up-to-date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
">">Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

A high school diploma or GED
">">Requires certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
">">Knowledge of assistive nursing procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, basic health, and safety practices
">">Ability to maintain attention to detail, make accurate technical and physical observations, and accurately communicate and record observations
">">Ability to lift and move individuals and work in a team environment
">">Physical ability to work with individuals who may be physically aggressive or medically fragile
">">Ability to work in a group home-like setting or ICF
">">General knowledge of individuals with intellectual disabilities
