Job Overview

Salary:
The Construction Project Coordinator is tasked with the comprehensive management and oversight of landscape construction initiatives. This role encompasses the initial engagement with new construction requests while serving as the primary liaison for ongoing client projects. Key responsibilities include estimating, planning, and ensuring that projects adhere to quality benchmarks and timelines. This position also involves organizing the necessary crews, equipment, and materials to fulfill the sold projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site evaluations with clients and landscape architects to clarify the scope of work for new construction projects and develop accurate estimates.
  • Oversee client projects through regular site inspections, addressing any concerns, and identifying opportunities for additional work.
  • Ensure subcontractors are executing their assigned tasks effectively and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Create as-built documentation throughout the construction process, collaborating with landscape architects and clients.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Procurement Manager to establish schedules and staffing needs to support project execution.
  • Maintain inventory levels of standard materials and procure specialized items as required.
  • Ensure compliance with the established production timeline.
  • Review periodic division reports to ensure alignment with profitability, sales, and revenue objectives, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Verify hours worked and materials utilized for accurate billing in relation to project milestones and final invoicing.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Design Build Manager regarding staff performance and behavioral matters on job sites.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations in accordance with industry standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5-7 years of supervisory or management experience within the industry.
  • Preferred industry-specific certifications such as CGIP or CNM.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and effective time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with clients, colleagues, and direct reports, both verbal and written.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver's License; a CDL with class A endorsement is preferred.
