Key Responsibilities:


Conduct thorough inspections to assess the safe and efficient operation of the hotel’s physical structures, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and H.V.A.C. equipment.


Oversee and confirm the completion of routine maintenance tasks in public areas, meeting spaces, dining outlets, and back-of-house facilities.

Manage and verify the execution of repairs, replacements, and renovation projects in offices, guest accommodations, and employee workspaces.

Implement effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs aligned with brand standards, ensuring safe and efficient equipment and energy use.

Regularly update the Chief Engineer, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager on the overall condition of the hotel’s infrastructure.

Utilize computer systems to access and input information, generating necessary reports.

Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation supporting engineering initiatives.

Install, inspect, clean, and repair plumbing systems and related equipment.

Construct, deconstruct, and maintain plumbing structures and fixtures.

Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning stairwells, public areas, parking lots, and maintenance zones.

Conduct grounds maintenance, including general cleanup, landscaping, mowing, and trimming.

Manage building and facility upkeep, including daily monitoring of pool and whirlpool conditions.


Qualifications:
  • Consistent attendance is vital.
  • Availability to work varied schedules, including holidays.
  • Adherence to hotel policies and regulations is required.
  • Education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Position requires working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, with potential exposure to extreme temperatures.

Tasks may involve working in confined spaces and awkward positions.

Physical activities include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, reaching, lifting, grasping, bending, crawling, stretching, and kneeling.

Considerable dexterity of hands and fingers is essential.

Ability to climb ladders of various heights is necessary.

Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds and utilize tools or devices for material handling is required.
