Job Description

The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing technical and engineering services to USN/USMC Air Traffic Control Systems. The successful candidate will apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery
  • Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to solve complex problems
  • Collaborate with engineering staff to make engineering design decisions
  • Conduct Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) level repair of electronic systems
  • Develop training curriculum and materials for fleet training evolutions
  • Train others on the use and maintenance of electronic systems

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and completion of electronics training and/or electronics experience
  • Completion of U.S. Navy C School and/or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of experience in electronic systems, including installing electronic systems equipment and designing, preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings
  • Ability to provide electronic, telephonic, and on-site fleet support on the operation and maintenance of military radar and navigational aids
  • Ability to develop training curriculum and materials for fleet training evolutions
  • Ability to train others on the use and maintenance of electronic systems
  • Experience with test plans, procedures, schematics, technical manuals, drawings, and wire lists
  • Experience reviewing, writing, and updating technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Science or Technical field
  • Experience using Microsoft Office software
  • Familiarity with the operation of Unix and/or Linux software
  • Flexibility to learn and utilize other systems supported by this competency
