Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Automation Systems Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for our building automation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Review: Conduct thorough reviews of project documentation, including plans and specifications, schedules, and existing control drawings, to ensure comprehensive understanding of the project.
  • Equipment Selection: Interpret project documents and estimate information to select the proper equipment for the project, ensuring economical and functional solutions.
  • Design and Drafting: Design controls or special systems projects, including network architecture, system diagrams, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOM), to meet project scope and budget requirements.
  • Documentation and Communication: Provide comprehensive design summary lists, maintain project control drawing construction document revision control, and generate Request for Information (RFIs) to clarify design issues and recommend solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project teams, consulting engineers, building owners, and other contractors to ensure accurate and timely engineering.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide direct supervision, technical training, and mentoring to assigned employees, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: 5+ years of experience in controls and/or HVAC, with a strong understanding of ALC Controls programming, graphics, database management, and troubleshooting.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks, and strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Visio, MS Windows, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, and Internet of Things.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, and materials, as well as spend significant time standing and walking, climbing stairs or ladders, kneeling, stooping, and/or crawling.
