Administrative Support Specialist

This is a full-time temporary role from September 2024 to December 2024, located on-site.

Primary Purpose:

Under close supervision, provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with diplomacy. Develop excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of people verbally and in writing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with day-to-day operations of the Position Control/Certification functions and duties.

2. Provide clerical and administrative support to the Position Control department.

3. Support Position Control projects and audits.

4. Support Certification projects and audits.

5. Process incoming recommendations via the applicant tracking system.

6. Maintain confidentiality.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.

2. Perform any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including a computer and peripherals.

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse.

Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).

Environment: Work is performed in an office setting; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours.

Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions.
