PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Contribute as a vital member of the accounting team to manage daily financial operations, pursue enhancements in process efficiency, and identify strategies to boost organizational performance, reporting accuracy, and compliance adherence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Record journal entries accurately
  • Assist in the audit process
  • Engage in various budgeting activities
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheets
  • Comprehend and document the organization's control framework
  • Deliver high-quality compliance and administrative assistance to the department
  • Complete various regulatory submissions
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments and operations
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the organization’s reporting systems and procedures
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in developing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

Educational Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is essential

Professional Experience:

  • Preferred experience of 1 year or more in a relevant role, though not required

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Competencies:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; capacity to make decisions under pressure and meet strict deadlines; excellent time management; detail-oriented; ability to multitask and work collaboratively

Typical Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, with some bending and stooping
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds
  • Manual dexterity sufficient for operating a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Normal range of hearing and vision is required
