Job Summary
We are in search of a seasoned Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting department. This position is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, which includes managing general accounting functions by verifying and controlling financial transactions.

The Senior Accountant will ensure precision and efficiency in all accounting tasks, offering financial guidance and support to assist senior management in making informed decisions.

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties

  • Financial Reporting:
    Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
    Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • General Ledger:
    Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    Ensure accurate and timely posting of all financial transactions.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
    Analyze financial data to recommend effective resource utilization.
  • Audit and Compliance:
    Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
    Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other regulatory standards.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
    Prepare financial reports and present findings to senior management.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and systems.
    Ensure robust financial controls and procedures are established.
  • Team Leadership:
    Offer guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
    Support the professional development of the finance team.

Qualification Standards & Company Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Capability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems, property management systems, and relevant software.
  • Must possess a flexible work schedule.
