Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

At FPI Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and oversee the maintenance and capital improvement needs of our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor the maintenance team to ensure excellent performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the most economical, proper, and safe condition of our properties.
  • Inspect properties and common areas daily to detect maintenance problems and coordinate repairs.
  • Manage maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform maintenance inspections and repairs on vacant apartments to ensure proper operating conditions and appearance upon move-in.
  • Repair and maintain equipment owned by the apartment community.
  • Maintain all maintenance shops and storage rooms in an orderly fashion and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Properly secure all parts, inventory, and property equipment.
  • Manage inventory of parts to make necessary repairs within budgetary limits.
  • Ensure timely completion of all duties by maintenance staff personnel to minimize labor costs.
  • Comply with all FPI policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within residential property management.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate required.
  • Industry certification or designation (CAMT, NAHMS, NAHMT) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and comply with FPI's facial hair policy.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet).
