Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our Theriogenology service at the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care and support to our clients and patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with animal handling and care, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Request and interpret diagnostic tests, and order and stock supplies as needed.
  • Collect blood and semen samples, and assist with semen freezing and storage.
  • Provide excellent client communication and service, including scheduling appointments and estimates.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience, with a strong foundation in animal care and handling.
  • Experience working with small and large animals, with a focus on theriogenology and reproductive health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, with a strong commitment to customer service and animal welfare.
