About the Role

As an Anesthesia Technician at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, ensuring that it is in good working condition and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Preparation: Clean, prepare, and sterilize anesthesia equipment using the STERIS system.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain stock of medications in designated areas, ensuring that they are readily available when needed.
  • Team Support: Provide assistance to the nurse coordinator and other technicians as needed, ensuring that the operating room runs efficiently.
  • Shift Coverage: Work night shifts, covering the hours of 10:00pm - 6:30am.
  • Professional Development: Be open to learning new skills and procedures, particularly those related to the Honickman Center.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Certification: ASATT certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent computer and mathematical abilities.

Clearance Requirements

As this role involves regular contact with children, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including a Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, a Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
