Role Summary:

We are in search of a proficient Electrical Engineer, PE to deliver full-time, on-site expertise as a vital member of the Engineering Operations team. This position encompasses the planning, acquisition, and execution of extensive and intricate infrastructure repair and modernization initiatives while ensuring adherence to all applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large-scale infrastructure projects, including the formulation of performance work statements (PWS), cost estimations, serving as a technical advisor during source selection boards, and leading project meetings.
  • Conduct quality assurance and safety compliance assessments, design reviews, and ensure adherence to installation standards for infrastructure systems.
  • Perform functional testing and commissioning for governmental acceptance of systems through meticulous verification of design, installation, functionality, and performance.
  • Assess proposed projects and technical solutions based on necessity, code compliance, effectiveness, and lifecycle costs.
  • Respond to technical Requests for Information (RFIs) in alignment with codes, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Travel to various sites to evaluate requirement packages, inspect existing equipment conditions, assess maintenance practices, and verify operational procedures.
  • Compile comprehensive travel reports detailing observations, findings, and actionable recommendations for non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Guide junior engineers through technical reviews, supervision, and mentorship to foster their development in fieldwork and adherence to engineering protocols and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration in the electrical discipline is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience in the healthcare sector, including at least 5 years in design and consulting roles. This experience should involve direct oversight of large electrical infrastructure systems in institutional, industrial, or medical healthcare environments, with recent experience spanning the last three years.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in analyzing plans, data, designs, operations, and maintenance practices within interior, exterior, and electrical power generation domains.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical theory and practical applications for formulating accurate estimates and sound recommendations for the repair, maintenance, and optimization of electrical infrastructure systems.
  • Strong familiarity with local, municipal, and federal building codes, criteria, and standards.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communicative, diplomatic, and analytical skills for delivering high-quality presentations to executive leadership and large audiences.
