Position Overview:

We are in search of a proficient Electrical Engineer, PE to offer full-time, on-site expertise as part of the Engineering Operations team.

This position entails the design, procurement, and implementation of substantial and intricate infrastructure repair and modernization initiatives while adhering to all applicable codes and standards.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement large-scale infrastructure projects, including the creation of performance work statements (PWS), developing cost estimates, serving as a technical advisor during source selection processes, and leading project meetings.

- Conduct quality assurance and safety compliance assessments, review designs and submissions, and ensure adherence to installation standards for infrastructure systems.

- Perform functional testing and commissioning for governmental acceptance of systems through meticulous verification of design, installation, functionality, and performance.

- Assess proposed projects and technical solutions based on necessity, code compliance, efficiency, and lifecycle costs.

- Address technical Requests for Information (RFIs) in accordance with established codes, regulations, and organizational policies.

- Travel to various sites to evaluate requirement packages, inspect existing equipment conditions, assess maintenance practices, and verify operational procedures.

- Prepare detailed travel reports summarizing observations, findings, and recommendations in a clear format for non-engineering stakeholders.

- Mentor junior engineers by providing technical reviews, oversight, and guidance to foster their professional development in fieldwork and adherence to engineering protocols.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Professional Engineering (PE) registration in the electrical discipline is mandatory.

- A minimum of 5 years of relevant practical experience in the healthcare sector, with at least 5 years of design and consulting expertise.

- Practical experience must include direct responsibility for the operation, maintenance, repair, and management of extensive electrical infrastructure systems within large institutional, industrial, or healthcare environments.

- Recent experience is required, covering the last three years continuously.

- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Clearance.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Advanced skills and practical experience in interior, exterior, and electrical power generation for analyzing plans, data, designs, operations, and maintenance practices.

- Extensive knowledge of electrical theory and practical applications for generating accurate estimates and sound recommendations for repairs, maintenance, and optimization of electrical infrastructure systems.

- Strong understanding of local, municipal, and federal building codes, criteria, and standards.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication, diplomatic, and analytical skills for delivering high-quality presentations to executive leadership and large audiences.
