Job Summary:

The **Maintenance Control Manager** is responsible for the management and administration of Maintenance Control, ensuring that Maintenance Control personnel are properly trained and qualified. This role is critical to the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure that safety and compliance are the first considerations in aircraft operations.
  • Maintenance Performance Monitoring: Monitor maintenance performance of all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft operations.
  • Reporting and Coordination: Report essential information as to the status of operation aircraft and coordinate with Flight Followers/Dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft.
  • MEL/CDL/NEF Administration: Ensure the proper administration of MEL/CDL/NEF procedures as established in the General Maintenance Manual and MEL Manual.
  • Regional Maintenance Coordination: Coordinate with Regional Maintenance Managers, outstation maintenance technicians, and Maintenance Providers to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the Company Manuals.
  • Data Management: Ensure that data in the pilot reports, ferry flights, SDR, MIS, delays, and cancellations, etc. is recorded accurately in the maintenance information software.
  • Service Difficulty Reports: Ensure that events that require Service Difficulty Reports (SDR) are properly identified in FOS and that the DOM is notified.
  • Work Authorization: Confirm that all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorized, and approved personnel.
  • Leadership and Training: Provide leadership and training to Maintenance Controllers, as required.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Monitor staffing levels within Maintenance Control to ensure 24/7 coverage of the operation.
  • Ferry Flights and MEL Extensions: Authorize Ferry Flights and MEL Extensions.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

  • Age: Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Certifications: Hold a Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.
  • Supervisory Experience: Have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by Contour Airlines.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Have detailed knowledge of aircraft, manuals, maintenance programs, and procedures. Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance. Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite. Detailed working knowledge of Quantum, FOS, and CAMP software is a strong plus.
  • Background Checks: Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • DOT and FAA Requirements: Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Authorization to Work: Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Must possess the ability to accomplish duties in a manner that adheres to regulatory requirements, including OSHA, EPA, state, local, and federal regulations.
