Job Overview

As a key member of the Missiles and Fire Control Production Planning and Control team, you will take on the role of Manufacturing Planner. This position is pivotal in managing and overseeing the timeline for contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as Manufacturing Planner, you will be tasked with the following:

  • Engaging within the Production, Planning, and Control sector as a Scheduler, Make, Buy, or Bill of Materials (BOM) Planner.
  • Facilitating collaboration across departments including quality assurance, manufacturing, procurement, engineering, inventory management, logistics, and contract administration.
  • Organizing and accelerating the flow of components through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • May involve travel and communication with all production facilities and supplier locations.
  • Availability for work outside standard operating hours may be necessary.
This role typically necessitates a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Security Clearance Requirement
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret clearance is necessary to commence employment.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in inventory control and material handling.
  • Familiarity with material requirements and experience in Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping operations.
  • Green Belt training/certification.
  • Capability to interpret engineering drawings and parts lists.
  • APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS).
