Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Chief CT Technologist to oversee our CT imaging services. We are dedicated to transforming the field of radiology and enhancing its role in diagnosis and treatment. Join us in our mission to elevate the standards of patient care.

As the Chief CT Technologist, you will be responsible for leading and managing CT operations, ensuring adherence to professional standards and delivering exceptional service to our patients. You will operate CT scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients, while fostering positive relationships with referring physicians and radiologists.

This position is full-time, with a standard schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

(55%) Patient Imaging:

  • Evaluate patients prior to procedures to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Conduct routine and advanced CT scans on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and explain CT procedures to patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Promote positive interactions with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to physician orders and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images and perform quality control as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

(25%) Staff Management:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures for all CT technologists.
  • Assist in the recruitment and staffing processes in collaboration with management.
  • Oversee staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage across modalities.
  • Review and approve timecards for staff.
  • Facilitate training for new CT technologists, providing guidance and expertise.
  • Participate in staff evaluations, compensation discussions, and development plans, including performance improvement and disciplinary actions.
  • Lead regular staff meetings and conduct one-on-one sessions with employees.

(15%) Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of equipment, including disinfection after each use.
  • Address any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety for patients and staff.
  • Coordinate patient relations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Comply with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and safety tracking.
  • Keep the CT protocol manual updated and manage software upgrades.
  • Order necessary supplies in accordance with inventory control guidelines.

(5%) Additional Duties:

Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall function of the department.
