Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Chief CT Technologist to enhance our imaging services. We are committed to transforming radiology into a pivotal element of diagnosis and treatment. Join us in our mission to elevate the standards of patient care.

As the Chief CT Technologist, you will oversee the CT department, ensuring adherence to professional standards and delivering exceptional service to our patients. You will operate CT scanners to generate diagnostic images while fostering collaborative relationships with referring physicians and radiologists.

This is a full-time role with a schedule of 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

(55%) Patient Imaging:

  • Evaluate patients prior to procedures to identify any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Conduct routine and advanced CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and inform patients about the imaging process, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout.
  • Adjust scanning parameters as needed, employing dose reduction techniques.
  • Foster positive interactions with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols.
  • Generate high-quality diagnostic images and perform assigned quality control tasks.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

(25%) Staff Management:

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures for CT technologists.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
  • Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage across modalities.
  • Review and approve employee timecards.
  • Support the training and development of new CT technologists.
  • Participate in performance evaluations and manage staff development plans.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one discussions with staff.

(15%) Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure proper maintenance and sanitation of imaging equipment.
  • Address any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety.
  • Coordinate patient relations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Comply with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation.
  • Keep the CT protocol manual updated and manage software upgrades.
  • Order necessary supplies in accordance with inventory management guidelines.

(5%) Additional Duties:
